Rancho Tranquillo se află pe malul mării în Moyogalpa, la 34 km de Vulcanul Maderas, și pune la dispoziție diverse facilități, printre care o grădină și o terasă. They were such a lovely and friendly couple. They helped me with information about the island and got a really good lunch for the hike and an excelent breakfast. Totally worth staying here.

La Urraca Loca Hostel se găsește în Balgue și are o grădină, o terasă, un bar, și WiFi gratuit în întreaga proprietate. The property is situated in a beautiful setting with a lovely relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Everything was super clean and neat, with everything you could need during a stay on the island, including access to book tours or rent scooters etc. Highly recommend, and I would go back :)

Hostel Life is Good se găsește în Moyogalpa, la 39 km de Vulcanul Maderas, și are o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. I loved the atmosphere of the hostel. In the evening time they had candles everywhere and lights. It was so beautiful. They also have a lookout place where you can see the volcano during the day and stars at night time. It was a super quiet and chill place. They also had kitties which is a big bonus.

It’s a bit aside from the port city Moyogalpa, so it’s very calm and almost no cars and people here, but still easy to reach by foot from the Centre (15 min walk). It has breakfast included and it’s home cooked food by the family. My room was very spacious, with 1 double and 1 single bed. They had outlets outside and inside, so i could work online here. Ask for both WiFi passwords! The host family was very nice and always tried to help, like when I needed a dentist they found a number. They don’t speak English (as most locals here) but with my broken Spanish and google translate we always understood each other. You can also ask them about the laundry option. Thanks for hosting me!

The host! She is amazing!! She helped us with everything, we got sick and she literally took care of us. The location is great and the rooms are big enough with private bathroom, the breakfast was amazing as well.

Hostal Casa Moreno se află în Moyogalpa și are o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, un lounge comun și o terasă. Acest hostel de 3 stele oferă un bar. Friendly staff and great location.

Raindance se află pe malul mării în Santa Cruz, la 19 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja Santo Domingo, și oferă diverse facilități, printre care o piscină în aer liber, o grădină și un bar. It’s social and the dorms and the bed are really nice with a lot of privacy

Rainbow Caravan Hostel se găsește în Las Pilas, la 17 km de Vulcanul Maderas, și are o grădină, un lounge comun, un bar și parcare privată gratuită. The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.

B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita se află în Altagracia, la 16 km de Vulcanul Maderas, și oferă o grădină, un lounge comun, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.
