Love the orchard, the friendly dogs, the funny pigs, and curious chickens on the property. Felt very private in our cottage too!

Haka House Bay of Islands is a welcoming and stylish hostel located just across from the scenic Paihia wharf, offering cosy, practical accommodations with million-dollar views of the stunning... The location was prime, though it was a bit difficult out to find the entrance as the hostel and reception aren’t on the ground floor. But it was on the waterfront and smack in the middle of a bunch of restaurants and shops with easy access to the ferry system.

Under new management from mid 2022 and just 80 metres from Paihia Beach, Peppertree Lodge features a barbecue area with outdoor seating. Excellent location , large shared kitchen and two lounges . Staff was very friendly. Josh even dropped me to the bus stop since there is no local taxi available .

The Cell Block Backpackers hostel is a refurbished 1960's jailhouse, converted in to colourful accommodation. Loved that it was unique! Loved the people and the owners, super friendly and everything was easy and accessible, they also had cats so it was nice cuddling up with them especially with me being away from home and missing my own.

Centabay Lodge offers budget accommodation right in the centre of Paihia. Choose from a bed in one of the spacious dormitory rooms or stay in a private room to suit your budget. Centabay is in the best location, close to everything in town. It has a comfortable, laid back atmosphere, with a spa, hammocks, and a great shady patio surrounded by plants. They even offer Kayaks for hire at a great price.
