Located in the heart of the city of Wellington,The Marion Hostel offers a range of backpacker accommodation and features a rooftop terrace. Everything! The bed capsule are great (even if the upper bed is quite high!), there are a lot of attention to make the guest feel comfortable. Towel, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner for free. Free tea, coffee and chocolate and milk. I loved the free pancakes during the weeekend (yummy)! The location is great, the roof top nice. Staff is great, guests are too and it’s easy to meet with new people for solo travellers.

Staff were great and knowledgeable and helped point us in the right direction for public transportation. The rooms were cleaned and maintained well

The 19th-century The Cambridge Hotel & Backpackers offers accommodation in the heart of Wellington’s city centre, just 3 minutes’ walk from the Courtenay Place entertainment district. Favorite was the giant kitchen and dining area, great amount of space and clean. Tons of rooms but tons of bathrooms in a long hallway. Beds were good, a bit squeaky but comfortable. Old style building was cool.
