Was able to make a wonderful healthy dinner (complete with delicious dessert) in the well stocked kitchen (oil, spices, pots and laundry out to dry! Felt like home away from home! Super clean, Indira and her dad are friendly and helpful! Thank you so much! Top notch recommendations!!

Overall excellent experience, one of the best hostels I was in my entire life and amazing cost benefit. Breakfast included, super clean, amazing location also for the ones planning walks to Tuy in Spain because it’s close the the bridge.

Ubicato a Vila Nova de Cerveira, a 38 km da Cantieri Navali di Viana do Castelo, Pilgrims Rest - Vila Nova de Cerveira - Hostel - Albergue - AL propone biciclette gratuite, un parcheggio privato... Oh my, this place was amazing. We were four Camino walkers. The previous night, we had ended up in what was supposed to be a private and exclusive albergue — which turned out to have bed bugs. On the way to this albergue, we were literally praying that this place would be different. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very kind staff member who explained everything and made us feel completely at home. We decided to give this place a chance to prove itself — and it absolutely did. It’s a very small and private albergue, with just 6 beds for pilgrims and 1 tent. There was one bathroom for 7 people, which might be an issue for some, but we managed to coordinate everything just fine. The place has a beautiful garden and terrace — perfect for relaxing in the evening after a long walk. There’s a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, great for cooking and having conversations. A washing machine is also available. The beds were clean and bug-free — hallelujah! The owners are absolutely wonderful, very helpful, and truly make you feel at home. The whole place felt exclusive in the best way. Highly, highly recommended!

Carla keeps the place immaculate. Our room was very clean and modern. Had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was very good. Carla provided us with recommendations on places to see and where to hike. Very nice and affectionate cat, which stays outside. However need a car to get here. There is a wonderful place for dinner by the bridge which is a short walk away. We had dinner there all 3 nights. Lovely stay.

The food is amazing, the staff are awesome and so friendly and helpful, the room was so clean, everything smelled like new and fresh. I admire the hostel it was really really good! Definitely return here again!!!! Hopefully more than once.
