She arranged for her friend to practice riding the scooter with me, she also dropped me to the port on my last day. During my time there, La also bought a local snack for all the guests as a gift. The accommodation is spacious and peaceful. The beds were big and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are also big. The cats were very cute!

I had an excellent stay. From my arrival to my departure I was taken care of by the lovely owner. She was so friendly and helpful. I stayed in the dorm room which I was lucky to have all to myself as it was low season. The bed was very comfortable, clean and fresh. There are also privacy curtains. Something the pictures don't seem to show. I was able to rent a scooter there too at a very good price. The breakfast was exquisite including some lovely local treats, fruit, toast, eggs and tea and coffee. I cannot fault this place and the island. All so beautiful and the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the touristy spots of Thailand. Would highly recommend anyone to stay.

Pickup and drop off from the pier was easy and the bungalows are in a perfect location. The rooms had an amazing view and were well maintained and cleaned regularly. Rented my motorbike from them so I didn’t have to go searching for bikes on my own. The staff were so lovely always checking in with me to make sure everything was okay and were helpful with organizing plans. Definitely felt at home here! Highly highly recommend!

We booked two nights and ended up staying much longer — that’s how special Big Hug Home is. Pom has created a true paradise filled with love, creativity, and care. The open, airy rooms are peaceful and comfortable, surrounded by nature’s sounds, and we loved falling asleep to the sound of rain on the roof. Pom is one of the most inspiring people we’ve ever met — kind, artistic, and full of warmth. Her home-cooked meals were amazing (we even tasted her home-grown seaweed!), and her family made us feel right at home. Tucked away near the river, it’s quiet and surrounded by nature, yet easy to get around by scooter or local taxi. Kayaking through the mangroves was a highlight. Thank you, Pom, for everything — we’ll never forget our time here. 🌸
