Small things like the mirrors, cotton pads they provided in the bathroom is just really thoughtful.

Star Hostel Taipei Main Station offers simple but comfortable accommodation near Taipei Main Station. This hostel was amazing. When I first arrived, the staff welcome me with so much warmth and friendliness. Especially Lulu was super nice and helpful, she gave me a great introduction about the hostel; and also in the days I stayed, she was always there to help. The breakfast is also really good. Every day they have a different menu with a nice platter of a main and fruits. It was always a great start to my days. The location is very central. Few mins from the central station, so you can go everywhere easily. Also walking distance to night markets, many stores, cafes and a mall. Rooms was also nice. Enough for 1 person to stay.

The facilities were great! The staff were very friendly!! Great value for money! If I ever travel to Taipei again I will definitely stay here again! My first hostel experience (I have since stayed at another in Seoul) and it was amazing! Comparing to another hostel I much prefer this place, much for friendly and just has a ‘better space’ to be in as well. I loved the ‘pods’ we stayed in, there were 10 beds in a room but they had a sense of privacy to them which was great! Thank you to the helpful staff to a Kiwi who speaks little to no Chinese!

The hostel's cleanliness is worth mentioning. Lockers are provided for free, and the towel rental is nominal. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The location is unbeatable and a major highlight. The washrooms are ample and well-maintained. Slippers are available for washroom use, which is appreciated. The bed and mattress were super comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the privacy at each bed is a big plus.
