The host was very helpful, we asked him about anything before the trip. The apartment was a miracle: it was perfectly equipped, clean and had everything we needed. The apartment itself is also close to the city centre, so easy to get to. All in all, the perfect choice if you are in Uzhhorod.

Alina Hotel & Hostel is set in Uzhhorod, 37 km from Mukacheve and 49 km from Polyana. Alina Hotel & Hostel features free WiFi throughout the property. A flat-screen TV with cable channels is... This time, I guess, I tested tolerance of the staff to it's edge, as going all the way through Prague and waiting at the border for two hours made arrive at 11 pm, regardless, the staff was friendly and helpful as usual, giving me a nice, clean, A/C room with a nice balcony, clean bed, clean bathroom, and I was able to regenerate my energy to continue driving on. There are fine hotels in Uzhhorod, but this is the top one. Every time a stay at Alina, it's great experience. See you next time!

This was my favorite place I’ve stayed on my trip. I will definitely stay there again if I’m in Mukachevo. 🤩 It’s a great value, super clean, and peaceful. Also, the family that runs it is very kind and helpful- they were patient with my communications through Google translate (I don’t speak any Ukrainian). I had a room to myself and used the shared bathroom. My room had a screen over the window so I could let in the cool night air without mosquitoes coming in. The shared bathroom was impressively clean, and there was shampoo to use in the shower. The bathroom stalls and the shower stall have locks on the door. There’s a lovely green kitchen available for use, too; it was well-stocked with spices and cooking utensils. The overall atmosphere was very peaceful and restful. I mainly stay in hostels, which often feel stuffy and crowded. This was a very nice change! The location is maybe 20 minutes walking from the train station. Helpful notes about finding the apartments: I think it could be difficult to find if you don’t speak Ukrainian or read Cyrillic (like me). I copied the address from Booking and pasted it into Google Maps. From the town, you’ll need to walk over a high pedestrian bridge to cross the train tracks. The apartments are in a big, vacant-looking building just past a small road bridge over a water canal. You need to take the side door into the building. There was always a man watching the door to let me in or out of the building. Take the stairs to level 3. It might feel like you’re in a strange place at first, but the 3rd level where the apartments are is cozy, bright, and welcoming :) Also, make sure you have cash to pay, as they are not able to accept card payments.
