Situated at the foot of the Katschberg, it is the perfect starting point for unforgettable holiday adventures - whether in summer or winter. It has two cosy bedrooms with a pleasant atmosphere - perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains. The open-plan living-dining-kitchen area invites you to linger together. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need to prepare your meals. There is also a cosy sofa bed in the living area, which offers additional sleeping space for another person. All year round, the region between Katschberg and Obertauern offers a diverse alpine adventure world. St. Michael im Lungau, at 1000 metres above sea level and in the sunniest region in Austria, serves as the ideal gateway to this mountain landscape and is just a few kilometres from Katschberg. The 3500-inhabitant village, directly on the Tauern motorway (A10), is surrounded by the peaks of the Niedere Tauern and Nockberge mountains, with over 60 mountain lakes, alpine pastures and picturesque valleys. Hikers, skiers and cyclists will find numerous places to stop for refreshments here, including many e-bike charging stations. A highlight is the ‘Sonnenbahn’ cable car, which takes you to the Großeck-Speiereck ski area all year round - in winter via a 9 km long descent back down into the valley.
