Kookaburra Cottage is owned and operated by hosts Liana & Chris. Kookaburra Cottage is our first accommodation property and was built in 2022. Your hosts are an outdoors loving family of four that love exploring and travelling. Chris is a passionate carpenter that specialises in custom timber furniture - which features throughout Kookaburra Cottage, and Liana is a teacher with a passion for home interiors, antiques and gardening.

Kookaburra Cottage is right on the doorstep to some of the most popular tourist hotspots of Mount Gambier and the Limestone Coast region, whilst providing countryside tranquillity in the rural township of Yahl (10 minutes drive from the centre of Mount Gambier).
Enjoy a soak in the outdoor bathtub whilst stargazing, roast some marshmallows around the firepit, get up close with our alpacas and sheep, and enjoy all the modern country cottage offerings of this newly constructed home away from home.

The cottage is located in the farming township of Yahl located 10 minutes from Mount Gambier. The cottage is located on a sealed one lane road with other neighbours distanced across several paddocks. We reside in our own house at the back of the property, approximately 100 metres away from the cottage, and screened by shedding, fencing & a long driveway for your utmost privacy. Your closest neighbours are our curious alpacas and sheep that reside in the paddock alongside the cottage and enjoy being fed grain from the tub supplied to guests for a memorable farm stay experience!
