Welcome to Kodu, our stylish and serene Sellicks Beach retreat. Perfectly positioned on the esplanade, this 1970s home sits directly across from the cliffside stairs to the beach, offering uninterrupted ocean views at the front and rugged Sellicks Hills views at the back. Inside, retro coastal charm meets modern comfort, with three generously sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining space designed for connection. A large 8-seater couch invites you to gather and relax, while upstairs the balcony is perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks. In keeping with the area’s slow pace, there’s no television—so you can truly disconnect, savour the sea views, and immerse yourself in nature. Lovingly named “Kodu,” meaning “home” in Estonian, our family’s retreat has been thoughtfully updated to retain its original character while ensuring you enjoy all the comforts you need for a restorative stay.

This is our family holiday home and our favourite place in the world. We used to live on the Fleurieu Coast and still feel a deep connection to Sellicks Beach. Hosting here is part of an ongoing journey for us—continuously improving and caring for our beloved home so we can enjoy it ourselves and share its beauty with guests from near and far. Sellicks Beach offers a friendly, laid-back coastal atmosphere, with the sand just steps from your door. A short walk brings you to a local café, a Greek restaurant, and a deli, while a five-minute drive takes you to Berg Herring Cellar Door or the famous Victory hotel (be sure to check out their unique wine collection). The boutique shops and cafés of Aldinga are just 10 minutes away, and wine lovers will find themselves only 20 minutes from the world-class McLaren Vale region, home to award-winning wineries and gourmet dining. Guests love the peaceful setting, spectacular coastal views, and the chance to explore both the beach and the rolling hills in one location.
