The purple house was built by me as my dream place, in my favourite colours, for serenity, beauty, views and fresh air. It has a large deck, where one can relax on the sofas, taking in the fresh air, looking at the tree tops. The forest is right there, with kangaroos hopping around, kookaburras laughing, and you are within walking distance of restaurants. This house is VERSATILE and comfortable for two families, three couples or a group of up to 11.
I am a classical singer and singing coach. I also like colour and decorating. Hosting has given me the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, if I am on location, and even greet some of my guests with singing. when I am in Hepburn Springs I usually go busking, singing opera. I like providing a nice peaceful space looking out towards the bush, where city dwellers can escape.
The area is very peaceful, being right next to the CFA track and a forest. There is no traffic noise, and no street lighting. One can see all the stars in the sky on a clear night - something that is not often possible in the city. There are plenty of native birds, and also kangaroos come through or graze on the property. One can walk to the main road to restaurants which are about 500 m away, or to the Hepburn Bath house, which is 1.8 km away down the road, but can also be reached by walking through the forest. Daylesford is 3 km away, where there are a lot of attractions such as galleries, quaint jewellery and gift shops,bakeries, cafes, and pubs with gourmet food
