Westering Cottage is purpose-built to provide a tranquil, comfortable get-away for couples and singles to relax and refresh after enjoying the wineries, food and natural beauty of the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. Fully self-contained with a private outdoor heated spa enclosed by a greenhouse and mature hedges, the cottage is set on 5 acres in a rambling garden with mountain views. The cottage outdoor deck, bar, dining area and spacious patio are exclusively for guest enjoyment and very private. You will find the cottage is in the perfect location to explore the best of the Yarra Valley wineries, as well as the delights of the Dandenong Ranges. Pets are welcome, subject to agreement to conditions. The tariff includes generous breakfast supplies and welcome treats and free wifi.
David and I have lived at Westering for more than 40 years and love its peace and tranquility, especially the many different birds and native animals that visit from our bushland and adjoining creek reserve. We spend quite a bit of time tending our garden - a mix of native and introduced species in a constantly evolving landscape that gives interest and colour through-out the year. We are always delighted to host other garden-lovers and get their feedback and tips. The wide open paddocks and lawns are wonderful spaces to take a relaxing stroll and for dogs to run and play with their owners.
Guests enjoy Westering's proximity to many popular wedding venues and in particular our close proximity to some of the region's most outstanding restaurants and wineries including award winning Seville Estate and Oakridge, Coombe, The Vines at St Helens and Wild Cattle Creek winery and restaurant. They also enjoy the refreshing and spectacular gardens, restaurants and views in the nearby Dandenong Ranges and the many choices of cafes in Lilydale, Wandin and Seville. The more energetic grab our mountain bikes and take a ride on the fantastic Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail which is at the end of our quiet road.
