This home is truly a special place. The house is immersed in nature in a very private setting with a gorgeous ocean and rainforest view. Because of its privacy, you will almost certainly see monkeys, all kinds of birds, and much more wildlife than your average place in this area. The house is a 5 minute drive, or 35 minute walk to Montezuma center. There are 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds, 1 king) and 3 full bathrooms in the house - two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. Also 1 sofa-bed downstairs. On the ocean/ valley side there is a beautiful upstairs balcony, and a large deck on the lower level with a pool. On the jungle side there’s a second upstairs balcony which is magical for morning coffee and during twilight hours. Full kitchen, laundry room, and many places to relax. The grounds are super private with no neighbors, and there are dozens of growing fruit trees on the property. There is also a fire pit in the yard. The house is designed with natural cooling techniques (constant ocean/ valley breezes, the floors are cool to the feet, monitor roof, shaded by the surrounding trees), so while there is no A/C. The house is also eco friendly - completely powered by the sun

I am a 35 year old former civil engineer who worked in project management in the States. I now live in Montezuma, Costa Rica, but am originally from Boston, MA. I designed and built my house here in Costa Rica.

The house is located in the hills above Montezuma. It is on one of the most picturesque and peaceful streets in the entire zone. The street leading to the home is lined with beautiful jungle fields where horses graze. The house is on a 3 acre piece of land and the closest neighbor cannot be seen. There is a pristine waterfall in the surrounding river within 5 minutes walking that you can jump off (about 25 feet high). The house is certainly walkable to Montezuma, but it is a steep walk up and down hills (35 minutes to Montezuma center, 45 minutes back due to walking uphill). If you do not choose to rent a car while travelling, there are plenty of taxis that you can call. A taxi to and from Montezuma center should be around 5 USD
