Døssinghus now has 4 holiday apartments. We have just added a new 2-room apartment with space for 4 people. We have the following apartments named with inspiration from local history: Svend's apartment - 2 rooms located on the ground floor with space for 4 people (under renovation) Knud's apartment - 2 rooms on the first floor with a small double bed Valdemar's apartment - 2 rooms on the first floor with a large double bed (or 2 single beds) Jens Langkniv's apartment - 2 rooms on the first floor with 4 single beds divided into 2 separate bedrooms. Døssinghus offers comfortable accommodation in cozy holiday apartments in the village of Knudstrup in the heart of Central Jutland, Denmark. It is located between Viborg, Silkeborg and Ikast. Døssinghus is ideal for seasonal workers, tourists, hikers and cyclists as Hærvejen (the ancient traderoute also called Ochenweg) passes close by (only 1 km). Here you can stay in apartments furnished with historical details. You can stay overnight after your hike, after visiting family and friends in the area, or after a event at Boxen in Herning. we also welcome craftsmen or seasonal workers (contact us for more info about longer stays). Døssinghus is an old farmhouse that oozes of history. The house was one of the original 6 farms in Knudstrup and was built in 1861 and renovated first time in 1964. The house is located in the middle of the village and is a piece of local history. Many of the neighboring properties are subdivided from this very farm. At Døssinghus, all apartments are different. You can choose between 4 different apartments, all furnished with inspiration from local history. All our apartments are non-smoking. All apartments have a private bathroom with shower and a kitchen with stove, oven and refrigerator and have the essentials for your stay. NOTE! We have just finished renovating the heating system. But the hallway and bck courtyard are still is under renovation. We expect to be able to finish by summer 2025 and will then have an outdoor area available.
