For those who wish to explore the local area or need public transportation, the nearest bus stop is at the end of the road, about 1.5 km from the property. The buses on Ærø are free, and from the larger bus stops, it is possible to take your bike on the bus. Groceries can be bought at the local shop in Tranderup (about 4 km away), and larger shopping can be done in Søby, Ærøskøbing, and Marstal.
