Our place in Benissa is in a perfect location - very peaceful with beautiful views of the mountains and sea. We are 3kms form Benissa town and the surrounding area offers wonderful walking opportunities. We have some 10,000 square metres of land, and make our own organic olive oil, orange juice and marmalades.
The house is approximately 180 yrs old with lots of character and rustic charm. Our guests enjoy an excellent breakfast on the terrace , enjoying the panoramic views.
Hi there! We are Jean and Fraser, retired professionals, from Scotland and New Zealand. We enjoy hosting because we get the chance to meet new people with many interesting stories. We have many return visitors which speaks for itself. We are always busy on the land, either oranges, almonds, olives, carobs or whatever fruit needs harvesting. I keep myself entertained in the garden and making marmalade and fruit compotes. We enjoy walking, swimming and dancing when we have free time. But we also love to travel and have been lucky enough to visit many different countries throughout our working lives and on holiday. We have two adorable little cats who were orphaned at a young age - so we adopted them from a neighbour.
We are in a great location for visiting local beaches and little coves: Moraira and Benissa beaches are 10/15 minutes away, and Calpe is about 20 minutes away. Denia is a lovely port and is also worth a visit, as is Altea. Many guests like to go hiking nearby ( in winter and spring mostly) , and they enjoy swimming at the beaches in summer. In Benissa town there is an excellent sports facility with a 25 meter pool and gym, sauna, jacuzzi, etc. Depending on the time of year, and the level of activity you enjoy, there is something for everyone.
