The Cortijo Chaparro (Oak tree Farmhouse ) is situated in a tranquil setting surrounded by Olive, Almond and hundred year old Oak trees. The holiday home was reformed to a high standard in 2014/2015. It provides a modern Holiday Home retaining its original rustic charm and making the most of the breath-taking panoramic views across the valley and mountains. The Cortijo has Two double en-suite bedrooms on the first floor ( one bedroom can be changed to a twin on request.) One double bedroom on the ground floor, with another bathroom. The modern fully fitted kitchen has electric hob, Microwave oven and Fridge. Living room has television, DVD player and a lending library of books, DVD's and games. A patio door in the living room opens onto a private outside patio area with stunning views of the pool and valley. Double glazing and central heating for the cooler months of the year, BBQ and pizza oven to use to make the most of outside living. The property has various sunny and shady areas seating areas including a sandy terrace, poolside terrace and enclosed courtyard.

We are Sally and Steve Kearns, We met many years ago in Middlesex where Steve was an Underground driver and I worked at Heathrow Airport. We had an opportunity in the late Eighties to move to Yorkshire, where Steve followed a career as a signalman on the railways and I was a Business Travel consultant. We started searching for a property in Spain to Semi-retire and came across the Iznajar area with its lake and knew this is where we wanted to Live. We came across the Cortijo in 2014 and fell in love with its stunning views, after purchasing the property we fully renovated the Cortijo into a two bedroom house for us and a three bedroom rental house. We moved to the Cortijo in May 2015 from York and are enjoying the slower pace of life and the endless days of sunshine. We still have lots to keep us occupied with various projects on our Land.

We are situated on a quiet and secluded hillside for a getaway from it all holiday, but still only 2kms from the village of Fuentes de Cesna, with a small selection of bars and shops. The larger town of Iznajar is a 15 mins drive away, offering sightseeing, bars, restaurants and is situated on a large fresh water lake with its own beach, water sports facilities and beach bars. Many other famous Cities and towns of the area are within driving distance and various days out sightseeing are possible. We also offer an ideal base in a relaxing rural location, if you just want to escape the modern world, and spend the days relaxing by the pool enjoying the the stunning views.
