The large kitchen/diner is ideal for those who love cooking, and offers everything you need to prepare delicious meals together. There are spacious dining tables both inside and outside, perfect for dining together, whatever the season. Relax by the private pool overlooking the hills, or enjoy a good book in the shade of the almond trees. Thanks to the available Wi-Fi, you can also stay connected to the outside world if you want. In the immediate vicinity you will find beautiful walking and cycling routes, motorcycle routes, historic castles and churches, and a variety of cozy restaurants and terraces. Dream, dare and do! We are Trudy and Albert, a couple from the Netherlands with a dream: to live and work abroad, surrounded by nature, peace and a different culture. Since February 2025 we have been living in Vélez-Rubio, a charming village in the heart of Andalusia. After dreaming about Scotland and Norway, our eye fell on southern Spain. The climate, nature, culture and relaxed life immediately appealed to us. Vélez-Rubio immediately felt good: lively, cozy and authentic. During our first visit to Casa de Música we knew for sure: this is it. The location on a hill, surrounded by almond trees and with a view of the mountains, gave us a feeling of coming home. The finca immediately had charm; we renovated it with love, but the soul was already there. The name 'Casa de Música' did not come out of the blue. We met each other through a coverband: Albert as drummer, Trudy as singer. Music still connects us. Hospitality and privacy are important to us. We are available when something is needed, but our guests can enjoy the house, the garden, the pool and the beautiful surroundings in peace. In our free time we go out: walking, riding motorbikes or enjoying tapas in the sun. We are also slowly becoming part of the local community. And of course there is Larry, our relaxed dog, who enjoys life in the campo just like we do. Maybe you will meet him in the garden or on the way in the hills. We hope that you will find peace at Casa de Música just as we do – a place to recharge, enjoy and completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
