Our two-bedroom gîte has a courtyard and a terrace, offering a view of the Trébes roofscape and Black mountains. It is located in the medieval part of the town, a short stroll from the Canal du Midi, canal-side restaurants, and local shops. A welcome drinks tray and complimentary breakfast for the first morning is provided (coffee, bread, jam, butter, eggs). There is a secure, undercover area to store bicycles. Electric fans are provided and the second floor bedroom is fitted with an air conditioner. Carcassonne can be reached within 12 minutes by car and the airport is a 20 minute drive from the house.
After living in South Africa, the UK, and the UAE, in 2021 we moved to France to start our next adventure. We love the spot we've chosen and we look forward to welcoming you here sometime soon.
Our holiday rental house is a stand-alone property with it's own entrance, affording you complete privacy. However, we live close by - so do shout if any questions emerge during your stay.
A range of lovely canal-side restaurants are just a short walk from the house, as are local shops (bakery, tea shop, banks etc). In summer there is a bicycle hire shop around the corner and there is also an excellent hire shop (open all year) round that is just a 10 minute drive from the house. There are free parking areas in various spots within the village. The bus stop (for those without a car) is a few minutes walk from the house.
