The lower level is like a one-room flat with a double bed, a private bathroom and direct access to the quay. The middle level is the main level to which you have access by the front door. At this level you have: the kitchen with dining space, the living room, a bed room with 2 single beds, a bathroom and a toilet (separately). From this level you have access to the upper level as well as to the lower level. And access directly to the terrace and the balcony. The upper level has a large bed room with a double bed and a toilet (and a nice view over the river). Ample cupboard space in the 3 bed rooms. Wireless internet (wifi) available all over the house. A baby bed (cot) as well as a high chair are available.

Argentat was for centuries a major trading port. From the Quai Lestourgie the barges (« gabares ») left laden with wood to be used for making wine barrels by the winegrowers in the region around Bordeaux. A few kilometers from Argentat, during summer time, you could enjoy a trip by a « gabare », where the captain will tell you this very interesting story (ask the tourist office for details). I am sure you will enjoy strolling along old-style paved quays to admire the typical houses topped with slates. Even though the house is situated right on the quay of the Dordogne river, you are less than 5 minutes walk from the center of Argentat, where you will find a variety of supermarkets, other shops, bars/cafés and restaurants. You even have 2 restaurants right on the quay (open during summer season). The key words in the region are: Nature, history, culture, excellent food, sports and/or relaxation in very pleasant surroundings. Argentat is situated in the southern part of the department of Corrèze and as such neighbouring the departments of Lot, Cantal and Dordogne. Right outside the door, you have: fishing, canoe and kayak, walking or biking a long the river or in the forests. You find a « biodiversity reserve » just on the other side of the river. A water park (centre aquarécréatif) for children just 10 minutes walk along the river. 4 golf courses within 1 hour drive.
