Carters Rest Guesthouse in Milovaig provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge with large sofas and a fireplace. The guesthouse is fully licensed and offers breakfast, dinner, free WiFi and free parking. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free breakfasts can be catered for with prior notice. Guests can enjoy views of Loch Pooltiel and The Little Minch from the lounge and dining room. Dinner: our menu is mainly fresh fish but we also cater for all tastes. Hiking is among the activities that guests can enjoy near Carters Rest Guesthouse. Guests can walk to Neist Point, Ramasaig, Orbost beach, Macleod's Maidens and more. Dunvegan Castle is 16 km away and Coral Beach is 22.3 km away from the property. Portree is 44.6 km from the accommodation.

Carters Rest is located in Milovaig on the most westerly coast of Skye - providing spectacular views and sunsets in a most inviting warm friendly lounge. Find a chair next to the fire, in the sun lounge, enjoy a coffee, tea or glass of wine and enjoy. We will look after you. Breakfast, dinner, coffee or tea we are here for you. We charge a booking fee when you book. A link will be sent to you after booking. This fee will be deducted from your invoice when you stay, however it is non refundable if you cancel.

The immediate area is itself a place of interest and is particularly rich in plant and wildlife. Dolphins, whales, basking sharks, seals and sea otters can be seen together with birds of prey and a wide range of indigenous and visiting birds. Information on salmon, trout and sea fishing is available and in some cases, bookings for boats can be made. The stunning scenery makes it an ideal location for numerous walks, we're very close to Neist Point lighthouse. Local walks to Neist Point, Ramasaig and along the Cliff tops to Waterstein Head. Orbost Beach, McLeod's Maidens, McLeod's Tables, The Two Churches in Dunvegan, Coral Beach are all local walks and easily accessible in 10-20 minutes. The Dunvegan Castle and its well laid out gardens, Talisker Distillery, The Fairy pools and Glenbrittle are all within easy reach. The Quirang and Old Man of Storr & Rubha Hunish make for an excellent days outing. The scenery is always spectacular and back in the evening for one of Skye's Sunsets completes the day.
