This Grade 2 listed house, parts of which date back to medieval times, offers you the informal elegance of a historic Somerset manor house with the comfort, homely atmosphere and friendly hospitality that keeps guests coming back. Compton House was originally the family home of playwright Christopher Fry's great, great grandparents and the house remains much as it was in the seventeenth century with its mullioned windows, flag stones and original fireplaces. You can stay in one of the well appointed five bedrooms, each with its own unique character; enjoy a relaxing, sunny Drawing Room, dine in an elegant Dining Room and catch the sun on a south facing terrace overlooking extensive lawns.
