This small stone cottage, renovated in 2023, sits hidden from view behind St Mary’s church in the Derbyshire village of Darley Bridge, on the border of the Peak District National Park between Bakewell and Matlock Bath. Enter into an open plan room with kitchenette, sleeping area and en-suite shower room (bathrobes are provided). The large living room, with exposed stone and vaulted ceiling, has bi-folding doors opening onto your private patio with hot tub and barbecue. The gardens border Clough Wood with a variety of wildlife and birds. The owners have not fenced off the garden as they own part of the forest and like to let deer graze on the lawn. Behind the cottage, you have a breakfast courtyard for the morning sun, also an afternoon sun trap, with views of Oker Hill. There is a locking shed to store bikes. Darley Bridge has two traditional pubs both serving food. Darley bridge itself crosses the River Derwent and is a scheduled ancient monument on the Derwent Valley Heritage Way. ...
