Claridge House is a charming Victorian Quaker property set in two acres of beautiful gardens. Acquired by members of the Society of Friends (Quakers) in 1954, it was opened for guests looking for rest and renewal. Today, we continue to offer our high-quality service as a place of rest for mind, body and spirit. We extend a warm welcome to all guests whether they follow a particular faith or none.

Set between the villages of Dormansland and Lingfield, on the doorstep of the Surrey Hills, . Claridge House Retreat centre is the perfect Bed & Breakfast retreat. Given the calm and restful atmosphere, just 20 minutes from Gatwick Airport. Lingfield station is a 5-minute drive and offers direct access to London Victoria. This unique country house offers comfortable and welcoming accommodation within a peaceful environment. All of our rooms are individually furnished; we offer single, twin and double rooms and contemporary en-suite bathroom. Guest facilities include on-site parking, free Wi-Fi in all bedrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. In line with the calming atmosphere we do not provide televisions, nor do we serve alcohol on our premises and in keeping with our ethos, we are an exclusively vegetarian ( or vegan, if requested) B&B, with a substantial breakfast buffet with a variety of cereals, yogurts, croissants, fresh fruit salad, boiled eggs, (please note we do not offer a cooked breakfast). Guests are welcome to make use of our sitting room and music room.

Just 15 minutes away from Standen House and Garden a stunning Arts and Crafts family home with Morris & Co. interiors, set in a beautiful hillside garden. We are also located close to the Bluebell Railway a preserved steam trains running through the heart of Sussex. Trains run daily from the near by town of East Grinstead.
