We loved our stay here. It's quaint, perfect for two. We love Beddgelert and bought our little spaniel with us. It's a great location and beautifully thought out small cottage.

Copper Miner’s cottage Is full of character. Downstairs is a cosy lounge /dining and a small kitchen. Up a couple of steps into the Utility room with a washing machine. And then off utility, there’s a walk-in shower room and toilet. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and an ensuite toilet and sink with lovely views of the mountains and you can hear the river. The back bedroom has a small double bed with views of the garden and woods. There is a garden in the back on a slope with a seating area with beautiful views of the mountains.
We have always enjoyed travelling and staying in homely cottages, the quirkier the better! But we also like to have the home comforts. When we purchased the Copper Miner’s Cottage it was always our intention to create a small welcoming home that our family could use and that we could share through hosting with others. The cottage both reflects our characters and our aspirations. We have spent our lives renovating properties and putting our own ideas and tastes into them, but still keeping the character and culture of the building. This little cottage is an expression of us as a family and a statement of its mining history and the hard working families that resided there before us. As a family we live in a nearby valley. Some 6 miles away should you choose to walk over the mountain but much further by road!! We are locally born fluent Welsh speakers with a passion for our heritage but very wide arms to embrace other people, cultures and friendships. We have a small holding with a variety of farm animals and horses and are keen gardeners producing a wealth of vegetables and fruits. We are in the process of planting a vineyard and anything else we can squeeze into a day!!
If you are looking for a fast paced, night life packed vacation, this is not the place. Beddgelert, nestled at the foot of Snowdon, is one of the most beautiful villages in Snowdonia. Reflected totally by the wonderful people that reside there. It is popular. No surprise when it is the nearest village to some of the most spectacular mountain walking, and the highest mountain in England and Wales Eryri (Snowdon in English) The local language is Welsh and you will hear it spoken throughout the area. It is the first language for some 82% of the residents of Gwynedd. But don’t worry, having a strong heritage and culture only exemplifies the welcoming and friendly approach of the locals. The village has 4 pubs, restaurants, pizza, ice cream and a wonderful village shop. Quite remarkable these days for a small village, but be warned they are popular, if you want to eat out it may be prudent to book. Finish your food off with a glass of wine or a local craft beer and then it is the most leisurely stroll along the beautiful river back to our cosy cottage and maybe a log fire. Further afield we have the Sea, Castles, Portmeirion and wonderful beaches.
