Company information

We love living on the Pembrokeshire Coast and still find there are so many stunning places to explore and recommend to our guests. Our dogs also think they are in heaven! On a day off we fill our back packs with a picnic, swimming things, fishing rod and binoculars and roam sections of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path or climb to ancient sites and viewpoints in the Preseli Hills with the dogs. Alex’s previous career was in book publishing and now he teaches yoga and runs retreats at Cwm Connell. Emma worked as a Reflexologist for many years and is very interested in natural therapies and living a healthy outdoor life with lots of wild swimming. We have four children who visit often and bring their friends to enjoy the wonderful open spaces on the Pembrokeshire Coast. We’ve so enjoyed renovating the cottages and met many lovely local builders and craftsmen. We wanted to make the cottages stylish and comfy but to retain the traditional Welsh stone and features of the original farm buildings. We hope you share our love of sea greens, blues and greys, decorative tiles, fine handmade kitchens, super comfortable beds and velvet sofas. We look forward to welcoming you to Cwm Connell.

Neighbourhood information

Cwm Connell is in a peaceful location off the beaten track with coastal surroundings of unrivalled natural beauty. However indoors, outdoors, rain or shine, strenuous or relaxing, there are plenty of things to enjoy and discover in our local area. Both the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path and The Preseli Hills which loom above our coastline can make for some fabulous walking and amazing views - you can see Snowdon on a clear day! Pembrokeshire is, quite rightly, famous for its fabulous beaches and many are in easy reach of Cwm Connell. With Ceibwr Cove a short walk from your door and sandy Poppit Sands and Newport Beach a quick drive away, there are over 50 beaches within an hour's drive. Take a trip back in time to a megalithic monument and see where the Bluestones that make Stonehenge originated in the Preseli Hills. There are many Medieval castles to visit - Cilgerran and Cardigan Castle close by and 20 more within an hour's drive. Canoeing, Kayaking, Coasteering and boat trips to see pods of dolphins offshore, Shire Horse carriage rides, wildlife centres, nature walks, waterfalls, Pottery and Art workshops, Galleries, Pubs, Restaurants, historic houses and gardens to visit.
