In House Garden Flat is a spacious flat located in the centre of Castle Douglas. We have created a real family feel to this flat. Relax after a busy day in our living room with our smart tv and open fire (on request). We have a dining area which seats 6. Wifi available in all rooms so you can connect to your iPads etc. We have a large spacious kitchen with breakfast bar which seats 4, we also have a high chair. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything for making meals if you don't fancy dining out. The garden is accessed from the kitchen via a stair case. The modern family bathroom has a large bath / shower ( towels supplied). The garden is fully enclosed and is perfect for pets and children. There is a small patio area for sitting out in the sun.
I am a chocolatier and owner of In House Chocolates by Design which is situated below the flat. Previously a design graduate I took a change in direction and entered the world of chocolate. I love my job and the creations we invent. As part of our welcome to you, we will provide all our guests with a complimentary voucher for coffee, tea or hot chocolate during your stay. I love all things to do with design and love to cook.
Castle Douglas is a busy market town and is the perfect location to visit the nearby towns and attractions. We have a great selection of beaches and the countryside is right on the doorstep. We have a lovely park situated on Carlingwark Loch. Threave Gardens and Threave Castle are a close drive away. The town itself boasts a wide selection of independent food, gift and clothing shops. Kirkcudbright, 10 miles from Castle Douglas is a working fishing port a very historical town and famous for its artists. For larger stores Dumfries is 18 miles away. The town is the perfect base for golfing , walking, fishing and biking holidays. The town has a wide selection of eating house and local hotels for meals and nights out.
