Oakover Guest House is a beautiful Victorian house built in 1890, and managed by resident owners Simon & Ann Robinson. Located on level ground only 200 meters from the sea front & beach lawns, we are only half a mile from the main train station, and only a few minutes walk to the town centre, the Grand Pier, local parks, shops & restaurants. We offer six double rooms (room only / no breakfast) across 2 floors including King-size or Twin, Superior & Standard. All rooms are decorated & furnished to a high standard and include: - Private en-suites - 32" colour LCD television (with Freeview & DVD/CD) - Tea/coffee making facilities - Fridge - Digital radio alarm - Ironing Board & Iron - Hair-dryer - Hand & bath towels Due to personal reasons, for 2025, we are unable to offer breakfast options, however there are lots of places to eat locally within a 10-15 minute walk and you are welcome to order for delivery and use our breakfast room, or eat in the privacy of your own room. Oakover is located in a quiet residential area, around a 10 minute walk into the town centre where there are lots of good quality restaurants, bars & cafes. We are a 2 minute walk from Tesco Express, Coop & the local Indian Restaurant which receives great reviews from our customers who hve tried it, and the local Chinese take-away. The train station & Grand Pier are both around a 7 minute walk, as is the local launderette.
