Plas y Brenin - National Outdoor Centre, originally a coaching house built in 1801, is situated in Capel-Curig in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. The home of the National Mountain Centre, the property offers a bar with lake views. Guests can also enjoy a drink or meal in the landscaped gardens and terrace. Free car parking is available. There is a free WiFi. A full English breakfast is included, with a vegetarian option and a range of cereals, fruit and yogurt. Since 1955, Plas y Brenin has been at the forefront of outdoor instruction. While the exact courses on offer have varied over the years, with disciplines as diverse as horse riding and fly fishing on offer, the main focus has never shifted from the importance of getting active outdoors. Since 1997, Plas y Brenin has been operated on behalf of Sport England by the Mountain Training Trust, a not-for-profit charity founded by the British Mountaineering Council, Mountain Training UK and Mountain Training England. The charity was founded specifically to run the centre, and in doing so ensure the continued delivery of world-class training while encouraging more people to get active in the outdoors, regardless of their abilities or experience.

Plas y Brenin, in the heart of beautiful Eryri (Snowdonia) was originally the Capel Curig Inn, a coaching house opened in 1801. Now the home of the National Outdoor Centre, the listed building has a bar with stunning views over the twin lakes, Llynnau Mymbyr to the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Horseshoe. The landscaped gardens and terrace are a great place for a cold beer or bar meal after enjoying the amazing Eryri (Snowdonia) landscape. We have free car parking and a great range of facilities for you to enjoy during your stay, from free evening adventure talks to the on-site shop selling a range of books, maps and all things outdoors. There's high-speed site-wide WiFi. Full English servery breakfast is included with a vegetarian option and there is also a range of cereals, fruit and yoghurt for you to choose from.
