Portclew House is a Grand Georgian mansion set in 3 acres of grounds close to the sandy beach of Freshwater East. All the seven bedrooms have en suite facilities and overlook the gardens which have rural views. In the extensive grounds we have seven self catering holiday cottages of varying sizes.
Stephen and Sarah Jackson run this small guesthouse with the help of their family and a small number of staff. Having bought the property in a derelict state some 20 years ago we have gradually renovated this magnificent house and outbuildings, offering comfortable accommodation whatever the reason for your stay.
Freshwater East is found on the coast between the historic town of Pembroke and the popular town of Tenby. Walkers are able to join the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park coastal path nearby. There are many castles to discover including Pembroke (the birthplace of Henry VII), Carew, Manorbier and Picton. We are ideally located for all beach lovers and watersport enthusiasts who should visit the bays of Freshwater East, Manorbier, Broadhaven South, Freshwater West, West Angle Bay and not forgetting the paradise found at the hidden bay of Barafundle. Families will want a day out at one of the numerous themed parks found locally e.g. Folly Farm, Oakwood, Heatherton and Anna Ryder Richardson's Welsh Zoo.
