In a tranquil setting on the banks Loch Awe, Taychreggan, Signature Collection by Eight Continents offers elegant accommodation and high-quality dining. With free parking and WiFi, this hotel is around 20 miles from Oban, where ferries depart to the Isle of Mull. Each room has a flat-screen TV, alarm clock, telephone and tea and coffee facilities. All have an en suite bathroom with a bath, and a hairdryer, toiletries and bathrobes. The hotel has fine views of the surrounding mountains, and some rooms look out over the loch and gardens. Full Scottish breakfast is served each morning at Taychreggan, Signature Collection by Eight Continents. The restaurant offers a full a la carte dinner using the finest of local produce. Snacks, scones and coffees are served all day. Originally a cattle drover’s inn, this Highland hotel lies just over 30 miles from the pretty town of Inveraray and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The port of Oban is approximately 30 minutes drive and ideal to enjoy for a day out.
