The Deckhouse is a light, bright, spacious cabin not far from wonderful Hay-on-Wye. Warm, cosy, with plenty of plants, it has a spacious luxurious bathroom with bath and separate shower, a massive covered deck for outdoor living and instant electric heating for colder times. It's the perfect place for intimate retreats or gatherings of friends and family. Wonderful views, covered seating areas, a barbecue and fire pit, parking and fast fibre WiFi. The outdoors here is unrivalled, with the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons, Begwyns and River Wye as your playground. Three bedrooms, with the main king bedroom and twin bedroom in the main cabin along with the bathroom, and the further king bedroom is slightly separate across the decking.

I am a parent of three, but often travel without the children. I own a shop/gallery/cafe and a bookshop in Hay on Wye, on the border between England and Wales. I'm always looking for interesting things to see, collect and bring home with me, and inspirational places to visit. The cabin is on a separate area of our land, so we are generally not too far away if you need anything sorting out. Hay on Wye, town of books, is only five miles away. There are so many beautiful independent shops, cafes and businesses in the fantastic small border town on the banks of the River Wye, with the recently restored Hay Castle too. Known for its numerous bookshops but also having plenty of other galleries, antique shops, and really great markets. Near to the cabin are the Begwyns, open hills with incredible views where you can walk or ride for miles without touching a road, and the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, known for all the outdoor activities, including hiking, climbing, gliding, paragliding, birdwatching, horseriding, canoeing.
