The boutique rooms feature a stylish design and an en-suite bathroom with a shower or bath. Each room has luxury bed linen, towels, bathrobes, a Smart TV, Nespresso coffee maker and White Company toiletries. The property serves fresh homemade food, including Josper-oven-cooked steaks and wood-fired pizzas, as well as Sunday roasts. Newbury Racecourse is just a 5-minute drive from The Elephant at the Market and the town is within easy reach of many of the south’s major towns. Reading, Basingstoke, Swindon and historic Oxford are all around 35 minutes' drive away. Highclere Castle, where Downton Abbey is filmed, is just 15 minutes' drive from the property. There is also easy access to the Ridgeway National Trail across the North Wessex Downs.
