The Lakes B and B is “cosy and welcoming” and the Lakeland stone Victorian house “oozes character”. Ambleside is situated in the Lakes District which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site The Lakes B and B’s ability to blend old and new, creating “stylish bedrooms”, a bright spacious, relaxed breakfast room and a delightful courtyard garden within the realms of a Victorian stone built three storey house, part of which was once a sweet shop. Nestled in the heart of Ambleside Town and a 15 minute walk to the Lake shore, The Lakes b and b is close to everything that Ambleside has to offer, restaurants, art galleries, independent shops, cinemas, parks, museums, waterfall many other places of interest. Having lived in Ambleside for over 8 years, we have gained a wealth of knowledge of the area and we are more than happy to help you plan and make the most of your stay in this beautiful corner of England. Ambleside is an attractive small town of about 2500 people situated in the center of the Lake District National Park, about 1 mile from the head of Lake Winder mere. Ambleside is a perfect base for exploring the Lake District on foot, cycling or in your car or bus. When you have finished exploring during the day you can return to the b and b and after a hot shower you can walk to the many eateries available or watch a film or enjoy some live music. The atmosphere in Ambleside is welcoming and offers guest the opportunity to have a fantastic break and time to unwind and relax.
