There is also Hornsea Mere, which at two and a half miles long is Yorkshire’s largest freshwater lake. It attracts wildlife and rare species, ideal for those birdwatchers amongst you. The market town of Beverley is one of Yorkshire’s best kept secrets and is just a 20-minute drive away. Beverley Minster is known for its abundance of stone carvings, stained glass and decoration.
