There is a wealth of beautiful countryside in the surrounding area, including the Angus Glens leading deep into the Cairngorms with great walking, climbing and mountain biking. To the east there are pretty fishing villages, cliffs and excellent beaches at St Cyrus, Lunan Bay and Montrose.
