Around 12 miles from Sheffield, in the heart of the Peak District, The Plough Inn in Hathersage is a 16th-century inn in Derbyshire. It has a cosy bar and restaurant and offers free parking and Wi-Fi. Luxury rooms have en suite bathroom facilities with shower or bath and complementary toiletries. There is a flat-screen TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities in each room. Home-cooked full English or continental breakfast is served each morning. The restaurant offers a decadent selection of meat, fish, game and vegetarian dishes, alongside pub favourites including steaks and fish and chips. On the banks of the River Derwent, The Plough Inn is around 9 miles from the stately home Chatsworth House near Bakewell. The spa town of Buxton is less than 30 minutes’ drive away.
