Dating back to the 1800's, designed and previously occupied by the famous Andrew Maitland and Sons Architectural Practice. Offering a spacious bedroom with ensuite, living / dining room and kitchen. Hand crafted stained glass windows and high ceilings wrapped in a truly unique design.
Located in the centre of the historic town of Tain which is the oldest Borough in the Highlands, just 30mins drive north from the highland capital of Inverness.
Directly located in the centre of the bustling town of Tain with all you need on your doorstep. Tain train station is a 10 minute walk away so an easy commute from the highland airport and city life within Inverness.
Guests are invited to take a stroll to Tain Links where you can walk along the shore with views of Dornoch firth in the distance. Golfers will be pleased to hear the popular Tain Links golf course is an easy walk from the property with a couple of pubs to visit on route back.
The village is also just off the famous North Coast 500 (NC500) so its the perfect base to explore the route. As well as being attractive and welcoming the village the surrounding area is rich in history. Its a fantastic place to spend a week or two.
Being close to the Highland interior roads means that from Tain you can you easily explore the north east coast and the west and north coast too. You can drive to Dornoch in 10minutes and Dunrobin castle in Golspie in just 20 minutes. Ullapool is around 1 1/2 hours away via some of the most spectacular roads in Scotland.
After exploring the surrounding areas you will return to the Red House for a warm and comfortable evening.
