Brewdog is a favourite in Ellon as its HQ is based here and you can take a tour or visit their bars, Dogtap for chilled out craft beers and food or across the road Overworks Tap which offers sour beer. A firm favourite within Ellon offering a great atmosphere and somewhere the whole family can go and feel relaxed in this trendy surroundings. There are also a few more pubs in the town centre – The New Inn, The Buchan, The Tollbooth & The Bridge Bar. If you are here for the night, Aberdeen is 16 miles away and offers many Shopping Malls, Cinemas, Restaurants, Theatre, Art and Music Venues, Night Clubs and Markets. Its approximately 25 minutes taxi ride or with regular buses including a night service at weekends Ellon offers great riverside walks along The Ythan which also has bicycle routes and here you can observe lots of wildlife. If you have a day to travel, great family days out can be had in places such as Haddo House, Pitmedden Gardens, Tolquhon Castle, Forvie Sands Nature Reserve and nearest beaches Newburgh and Balmedie which have lovely golden sands which are truly breathtaking.
