The Talbot Inn is traditional 18th century Inn Steeped in history, There was a building on this site as long ago as 1376 and the building was originally used as a wharf where goods to be moved down the river were loaded, It has been a pub since at least 1774. Today The Talbot is a one-bar pub with a partitioned restaurant area and 8 letting bedrooms, Great care has been taken not to spoil the pub's genuine character whenever it has been modernised. The exposed beams are original, as are many other parts of the building. The Talbot Inn is Just over 4 miles from Oxford, this traditional pub offers home-cooked food and rooms with free WiFi. The cosy rooms at The Talbot feature TVs and work desks. Tea/coffee making facilities are provided and some rooms have countryside views over Wytham Woods With exposed beams throughout the property, The Talbot Inn has a bar featuring local ales and fine wines. The restaurant serves a range of light snacks and hearty meals and has a riverside decking area for al fresco dining. There is a bus stop outside of The Talbot Inn, with regular services running to Oxford. Blenheim Palace is just a 15-minute drive away and free parking is available at the inn.

We are close to many of the counties nicest town like Woodstock with the awe inspiring Blenheim palace, or head further west towards the Cotswolds for towns like Burford, Chipping Norton and Charlbury. If shopping is your thing then Oxford's Westgate centre is 5 miles away, or take a 20 minute drive to Bicester village. Being close to the Thames means there are plenty of walks, or explore the Wytham woods
