Brela is the most famous tourist place at the Makarska Riviera, with several kilometers long pebble beach including the famous beach Punta Rata which is located along the Brela Stone as a symbol of this tourist pearl. Brela are located under the massive mountain Biokovo with the highest peak St. Jure (1762 m), away 50 km from Split, the city under UNESCO protection, and 15 km from Makarska. Beautiful, clean and far known pebble beaches, clear blue sea and enjoying a rest in the shade of thick pine forests earned international awards for Brela, including the Blue Flag to the beach Rat from 1999, and to the beaches Berulia and Stomarica since 2004.
