Dear traveller, This property is a protected heritage dating from the 19th century. At the end of that epohe, it was a furniture manufacturing shop, and for the most of 20th century it has been used as a barn. In 2022 it has been fully renovated with great care to preserve the tradition, while introducing all comforts of modern living. It’s a space to together to relax and make memories… grilling at the patio, enjoying a cozy evening in front of the fireplace, admiring the 200 years old wooden ceiling arch... The house is perfectly located to explore Istrian peninsula. Nearest highway entry is within 2km. Within 15-30min drive, you can reach most points of interest, e.g. beach, Porec, Rovinj, Pula, Motovun, Groznjan and many more.
Hello beautiful people! We are a family of three in love with preserving and nurturing heritage homes. In 2016 we started our brand Villa di Piazza, and this property is the latest addition to our "to be" dispersed heritage home hotel in Visnjan area. In this way, we believe, we contribute to sustainable tourism by inspiring new life into existing neglected homes, while at the same time revitalizing the community and offering an accommodation that allows our guests to experience authentic Istrian living. We live just next door and are on disposal to our guests around the clock.
The house is situated in a quiet street in the old town of Visnjan. The town of Visnjan is located very centrally on the peninsula, with a great connection to the motorway. Also, using local roads, within 15-20min you can reach many points of interest such as beach, city of Poreč, city of Novigrad, water parks, and if you go direction inland: Motovun, Groznjan, and Buje. Hum (the oldest town in the world) is 30min away, the same as Pula and it’s famous amphitheatre, or Rovinj - the jewel of the northern coastline… In Visnjan itself, you can do everything by foot strolling through the streets of the old town. Parking is available free of charge at the main square just next door or several other locations just 5’ walking distance. There are 2 restaurants, a butcher, 2 grocery shops, 2 caffes and a hairdresser in town - all reachable by foot. A few famous konoba´s such as Jadruhi or Agroturizam Mekisi are just a 5min drive away.
