Follies Suites are two large en-suite rooms situated in a modern bungalow on a hill overlooking Dungarvan Bay. We are just 10 minutes by car from the bustling market town of Dungarvan. Our rooms have European King sized beds with pure cotton bed linen, a relaxing seating area, tea & coffee, wine glasses and an en-suite bathroom. One room has views over the Comeragh mountains, green fields and the Atlantic ocean. The other room overlooks the ocean and Helvic Head peninsula. A 3 course dinner and breakfast can be served in our sunroom overlooking the Atlantic Ocean (the reviews might help you decide) - this is available at weekends only as I work full time in Recruitment in Waterford city and needs to be booked separately. Due to the silence in our property and for the comfort of our guests, there is no TV in the rooms.
After 26 years in France, I lived back to my family home in Dungarvan, renovated and started this small rental businesses. I played around with colours and themes and called it Follies (I wasn’t as daring as I might have been:)) Amongst other things, I had a little restaurant in the south of France in Montpellier, I love to cook dinner for my guests too (just message me in advance please). I also rent the entire house out so don’t hesitate to enquire about this too.
Our dominant position 75m above sea level is surrounded by farm land. A trip up the road will take you to Glen Fruits farm where you can buy local seasonal fruit. A short walk from the house takes you onto the fabulous Greenway and a little further on, you can get to the blue flag stunning Clonea beach with lifeguards on duty in season. The thriving and welcoming beautiful harbour town of Dungarvan boasts some excellent restaurants, pubs, boutiques, a museum and sporting activities including 3 golf courses. There is never a dull moment.
