My earliest memories are of walking barefoot on my grandfather’s houseboat, surrounded by water and family stories. Life later led me to Italy, Russia and Dubai, but I never lost touch with my family—or with Kashmir, the place that holds my heart. Today, I’ve returned to Dal Lake to continue my grandfather’s legacy of hospitality, as hosting guests on our beautiful houseboat is a way of sharing the magic of the Vale of Kashmir.
