Podere Querceto is a 19th-century barn rebuilt using green building techniques and materials from old Tuscan farmhouses, for a truly authentic countryside holiday. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place for families looking for peace, walks through woods and olive trees, and for exploring Tuscany by car. The farmhouse is reached via two kilometers of gravel road. The house includes two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with a small double bed. Both rooms have elegant sitting corners framed by stone arches and wooden beams—perfect for reading or enjoying a coffee while looking out at the garden. On the ground floor, there’s also a double sofa bed and a wooden desk in a quiet and private study corner. A small single bed for children is available on request. The living area is spacious and welcoming, with soft seating, a large wooden dining table, and even an extra desk if needed. The kitchen, made of wood and stone, is fully equipped with modern appliances but also includes antique pieces for a special rustic charm. There are two bathrooms, both in traditional style, practical and comfortable even for larger groups.Outside, there are shaded seats for meals or a glass of wine, a barbecue for guest use, a hot tub, and a small pond overlooking the Tuscan hills. At night, you can see the stars.

Podere Querceto is in the perfect spot for exploring Tuscany by car. In less than an hour, you can reach San Gimignano, Volterra, Certaldo, Siena, Florence, and the Abbey of San Galgano. Nearby you’ll find local trattorias, pizzerias, horseback riding, and beautiful local markets, like the one in Siena every Wednesday. There are also great walking paths through woods and olive groves.
