You will find Rifugio Romantico at the third and last floor of an ancient building in the heart of Castagneto Carducci. It’s furnished with love and passion to make you feel welcome and wrap your senses into the life of this ancient village
We love the nature, the sea, the animals, the bicycle and the genuine food. We have discovered a tiny paradise in this corner of Tuscany and would like to give the opportunity to everyone who share our passion to explore it.
Castagneto Carducci is an ancient village on the top of a hill 8 km. away from the sea in the heart of the famous wine region Bolgheri DOC. You can visit the museum of poet and writer Giosuè Carducci, just 50m. away from our apartment and enjoy the typical Tuscany food in one of the many restaurants and wine shops in the village. Bolgheri is just 13km. away and the famous art cities like Pisa, Lucca, Firenze and Siena are within a day trip by car or by train from the closest Donoratico railway station. Along the beaches you will find beautiful maritime pine woods that stretches from Cecina to the Baratti bay. You can also discover the area by bike, traveling through little traffic paved and un paved roads.
