Purchased in October 2018 and having a light renovation to appeal to western ski enthusiast and families, Akakura Akarien Hotel has been designed to operate as a bed & breakfast ski lodge with a variety of room configurations. . With a focus on comfort, style and good old fashioned mountain hospitality - we love making sure our guests have an amazing stay, never want to leave and always want to return back to the comfort and convenience of Akakura Akarien Hotel. . Akakura Akarien Hotel has 11 Rooms; > Twin Share rooms with shared bathroom x 2, Triple Share rooms with shared bathroom x 7 and Family room / Quad Share with shared bathroom x 2. > Western shower room on the lower ground ( private ) > Male & Female shared bathhouse ( lockable for private use ). . The lodge is equipped with a full commercial kitchen, dining room, bar, games room, laundry, ski drying room and is conveniently located an easy 200m walk to the ski runs. Local shops and restaurants are an easy 1-minute walk away. The hotel is literally right in the middle of the bars and restaurants. . We perfectly cater for the discerning guests that are looking for a fantastic location close to everything.

Drew is a Ski Enthusiast passionate about skiing and ensuring our guests have their best winter holiday vacation whilst staying at Akakura Akarien. He's an adoring husband to Lulu and father to Levi and Avalon and the family has grown up with a love of skiing, particularly in Japan.

Convenient Access Akakura Onsen is the actual town name, located within Myoko Kogen, Niigata. It is an easy 1hr 45 min Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagano where you can connect with the local Myoko train ( this trip along the river is spectacular in snowy conditions ) which takes approx. 30 minutes. When you arrive at Myoko Station our car can be there to collect you OR it's a 10-minute taxi ride to the Hotel. World Class Ski School & Ski Rental Myoko Snow Sports is located on Akakura Ginza strip ( the main street ) and has built a reputation for providing world-class ski lessons and equipment for people of all ages. As a parent, it's important to know that your kids are taken care of throughout the day to give you the freedom and flexibility to go riding. The snow sports building is 1 minute from the Hotel. Established Town Center with Restaurants & Bars Japan is not known for its Apre Ski scene and that's somewhat of the case in Akakura Onsen, however, there are plenty of quality dining options and bars on the main street just 1-minute from the Hotel. You can get a diverse range of cuisine and we can advise on dining options.
