Featuring 2-Michelin stars, a public hot-spring bath and beautiful views of Japan’s Northern Alps, Hotel Hotaka is situated in the in the vast wilderness of Okuhida, just a 2-minute walk from Shinhotaka Onsen Station. Rooms include a full en-suite bathroom. Guests at Hotaka Hotel can choose between a contemporary Western room and a Japanese room with tatami (woven-straw) floors and futon beds. All include a satellite flat-screen TV and electric kettle. An art gallery and souvenir shop provide opportunities for discovery. The lobby has free Wi-Fi. Guests can relax in the reservable private hot-spring baths or unwind with a massage. Multi-course dinners are served at the banquet hall or the hotel's restaurant and feature Hida beef, well-known in Japan for its flavour and texture. Shinhotaka Ropeway (Cable Car) is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. JR Takayama Staition is a 90-minute bus ride.
