This traditional Japanese home was built in 1959, and we’ve been carefully renovating it ourselves over time through DIY projects, pouring our care and creativity into every part of the space. Our goal was to create a place that’s comfortable and cozy, while preserving its authentic Japanese character—from the tatami rooms to the wooden beams and shoji screens, you’ll feel the nostalgic charm of the Showa era. While the traditional layout remains, we’ve added a functional kitchen, cozy bedding, and soft lighting to help you relax and feel at home. It may not be luxurious, but it’s a warm, welcoming space filled with heart.
