Monkey Manor is an exciting addition to our accommodation lisitng. A beautifully situated 3 bedroom villa with stunning views of Hunasgiriya and Riverston mountains, Monkey Manor has its own dip pool. large wrap around terrace and generous living area and can sleep up to 6 people. Perfect for small groups who want to experience the tea country up close from the luxury of their own villa. Hi I'm Peter from Australia and I bought Strathisla Bungalow back in 2009. It's been a long journey to get the old house and gardens looking as lovely as they do now but it's been well worth the effort. We have tried to make the house comfortable in a semi-colonial style with the emphasis being on maintaining the old world atmosphere. There is a wonderful team at Strathisla headed by my ever friendly, diligent manager Jeyakumar who will look after you like family, while his wife Priya will be sure to take you on a culinary adventure with her mouth watering cooking. Please be sure to enjoy a Yoga class or an Ayurvedic massage or if you're feeling energetic, why not take a hike up into the Knuckles ranges. From Mozelle and I we wish you a wonderfully restful and happy stay at Strathisla B&B bungalow.
Strathisla Bungalow offers tea estate B&B accommodation in the beautiful hinterland of the Matale region. The bungalow is surrounded by undulating hills of lush tea plantations, thick forests and rice paddies. Noteworthy attractions include the local Buddhist rock temple and rock pools, Matale's spectacularly colourful Hindu temple, the sacred Buddhist Rock temple of Aluvihare and the stunning World Heritage listed Knuckles ranges.
